Bournemouth to sue Hawk-Eye tech (link in post)

It might be a frivilous case but the error has cost them a place in the Premier League and to the club of their size the cash is vital.

You really cannot make any credible argument that it cost them a place in the premier league.

It cost Sheffield United a goal. No one knows how that game plays out with that goal.

No one knows how it might have effected Spurs or Leicester, who Bournemouth played next if Sheffield United had won and leapfrogged them.

No one knows how Villa would have reacted.

Trying to say Bournemouth got relegated because a goal happened in the 42nd minute of a game they weren't even involved in, 10 games before the end of the season!!! It's childish to try, and I'm sure Bournemouth won't throw good money away pursuing a stupid claim.

Bring it on, the way VAR was implemented has been criminally inept and a legal challenge is the only way the instigators will be held accountable and in my opinion they have only themselves to blame

This has absolutely nothing to do with VAR.

Football is fixed blog claims this is how an untainted league would have finished. If this could be proven Bournemouth have a strong case.

Following anything to do with that website with "if this can be proven" is...optimistic.

Im in total shock at the two Clubs who would have lost the most, If games had been reffed correctly!!

Both Villa and Bournemouth form was sketchy towards the end of the season, but it was still an incident that let Villa off the hook and gave them a point towards survival. On top of that it stopped any momentum for Sheffield United's faint Champions League hopes (although they were not not that bothered with them comfortably staying up).

Hawk-Eye has been a great success. The one mistake, that came in the Villa - Sheff U. game, was caused by a crowded goal line. Next time the Ref. must go to the monitor. OR, if the VAR Refs are awake, they have to inform the Ref.
