Boxing day floods, show us your pictures....:-(

I was delivering down in Radcliffe and Bury last Wednesday, done the 3 counties run as a drivers mate, Cumbria, Lancaster and last two drops just over the border into Yorkshire.

Can't believe some more poor folks have been hit with flooding like those up in Cumbria before Christmas, our rivers are rising again as well, maybe if they had called global warming something else people in this country might have believed them, 1 every 100 year storms are happening every few years now it seems.

Slashing the environmental agency budget as "Its not essential" hasn't helped. And why is it always the fucking North? About time Oxfordshire got its fair share...Oh hang on they improved their defences after the PM got concerned his constituency would be affected after a local river burst its bank's.

You didn't take the lead off the church roof as well did you?

lol, no. We had permission to take the scrap too. Well sort of, the caretaker let us in if we promised to clean the mill up too. There was a huge fucking machine on the top floor made of cast iron. We couldn't move it so we smashed it up with a sledge hammer so we could get it out. We found out afterwards it had been earmarked for an industrial museum and was the last of it's kind in the country, oops.

Holy shite that's a lot of flooding. I remember my hometown being flooded a few years back but not like this. Anyway this can be prevented in the future? I'm thinking that would cost millions and millions to improve the sewage system and redirection and it still wouldn't be enough

Why is Truss getting an easy ride from the press over it?

It's her domain and they seem satisfied that she's had a couple of meetings in a Whitehall bunker talking about it.

Lots of livelihoods going up the shitter :(
