The biggest problem is that when he passes he doesn't get it back but if he tries to do it on his own then the Germans are too strong. He has created several openings for others to take on but they would probably be better looking for him in the box rather than going for it themselves.

He really is a competitive little bugger though. He's won several 50/50s against bigger stronger players.

He started finding a bit more space in the final 10 mins,hopefully a sign of things to come in the 2nd.

Definitely stepped his personal game up,he's made a couple of excellent penetrating runs and is certainly looking like the one most likely to open up the Germans,showing excellent strength too.

Spain missed a pen too.
