Yeah he was fluent in English before he came to England. Read an article with him taking the piss out of Mancini after the interviewer told him that Mancini had an English teacher, he was laughing "haha, Roberto can speak English?!"

Tevez does speak English but is not confident, especially in front of the TV cameras, as he needs time to think about what he wants to say and translate which obviously he isn't given time to do if it is a live transmission.Matt the Giant said:Just watched the OS interview: listen to Mario, - he speaks English!! The reason I know is I got to present him with his player of the month award last February and we spent a really good afternoon chatting about his daughter (he only had the one at the time), and his time at the club, all done without an interpretor.
BTW, he has a wicked, schoolboy sense of humour and is an infectious giggler. ;-)

Interviewer asks too complex questions. Mario didn't understand a few times and just needs to ask simple questions to him so he can give an answer back.
