Brentford (A) | Post Match Thread

Perhaps your post could be summed up as shite too.
Not matter how some are dressing that performance up it was fucking shite . Phillips will never be a city player he is too slow and makes us pedestrian and Sergio Gomes is possibly the worst left back we have ever had . Thank fuck we had a billion pound of talent sat nice and safe .
So please explain the positives out of that performance today and enlighten us the value of losing !?!?

Phillips offered nothing, when we did arrive anywhere near the final third, he's passing to nobody, mate.

Gomez wouldn't make it at Southampton, he's not good enough.

As you say, Mahrez is his usual crap self.

They aren’t good enough for us
Let us kill the Rags on saturday ;-)
After that we do the same to Inter

20/30 minutes for some of those playing the finals would have been grand for me personally

Your hyperbole doesn't make you bluer than anyone though
Why, I think Pep knows better, most played Wednesday, no need to play again today, the rest clearly have niggels the manager doesn't want to risk. He's not going to play people just help out the flappers.

Thought the players on the pitch acquitted themselves very well. Brentford away is a really tough fixture at the best of times. Rico, Palmer and Foden all excellent, Aké got minutes under his belt. No injuries. Can't say Im unhappy with that. Result didn't matter. Performance was more than fine given the strength of the team.

Jack, Kev, Rodri, Ilkay, Jonny, Ruben, Erl will all be fit fresh and firing for the biggest 180 minutes of their life!

Slight concern we'll be undercooked for the two important games remaining, but it's Pep's call
Undercooked was early doors, with no pre-season.

I'm pretty sure the likes of Rodri, having played 60-odd games this season, won't be feeling undercooked in the slightest.

A couple of weeks rest will make all the difference in the next 2 games.

Our boys will be sharp as fuck.

How do you know? Not saying it was wrong todays team, but there is a genuine question to be asked as we have gone nearly 3 weeks come the cup final not playing a full starting 11.i

I don't but Pep does.

Sanguine about that (although I wonder if some on here think that is a flightless bird living in the Antarctic). Pep gave key players a rest, gave some less experienced players time, could have gone either way. Never mind, no injuries apparent so hopefully we have a near-full squad ready for the business over the next two weekends
