I think Carson managed to get a clause into his contract that says he has to be on bench every game. no other explanation of both him and Steffen being named for subs every game.

It's squad rules unfortunately, you have to pick all available players that have been "registered" in the 25, hence why a lot of teams have to put the second GK before they can put youngsters. Silly rule tbf

Not sure what to make of it , some are happy to list with Covid others not but I don't know if the club or League have a policy where by if some player tests positive then they have to announce it I presume not.

Clearly all three might not be available until the FA Cup depending on recovery and severity of symptoms etc.
