A rusty first half but we've had nearly 3 weeks off 2nd half a lot better , our form always seems to be better when we are playing weds sat weds sat ,

We didn’t have to get out of second gear and sometimes can lead to lack of concentration. We totally controlled the game as we have been doing but sometimes the difference between putting a game to bed early and having to grind them down second half, is SOME players just not being on the balls of their feet or being a bit lax with a pass.

Picky I know. It was comfortable but could have been more comfortable first half.

Job done pressure back on Liverpool.
Lately we look a bit sloppy but I hope when the opposition are better, our levels of concentration increase to match.
Hard to get through a ten man defence, but the passing and first touch of some players has to improve.

Thought the offside trap was man of the match followed by Cancelo.
Pretty sloppy from us and the game should have been put to bed much earlier.
The coming week is yet another vital one and the team needs to up the pace and intensity and put teams away quicker if we can.

Wasn't great in the final 3rd for City, we'd all like to see more goals and shots on target but that's sometimes down to how the opposition are set up and how "on it" they are. That was not a bad performance. Brentford put in a real shift tonight and we wore them down and controlled the game overall regardless, where other teams would have struggled a lot more. We'll have to get back to near our best soon but there's not a lot to complain about.

Maybe it's because of the break we had but I didn't even find it boring. I'm still saying to myself "what a team we have" just watching us move the ball around and turn the screw on opponents.

Exactly. At 2 down Brentford still didn't want to come out and play, so we said OK this will do us.

With Brentford setting up as they did, it was never ever going to be pretty and they made it really difficult.
