Anyone any idea what has gone on at Brentford? Mark Warburton is leaving at the end of the season and some of his staff have been put on gardening leave. All seems very odd considering they were promoted last season and are not far behind Bournemouth at the top of the Championship at the moment.

Strange alright, the club seem to have decided he's not the man to take them to the next level and it leaked out a while back that they wouldn't be renewing his contract at the end of the season, after which they lost 3 games out of four. Very poor form really, he's done a superb job there and should have been given a new deal.

from what the Brentford fan said on 606 apparently Warburton blocked any new signings in January, which pissed the owner off as he'd wanted to put several million in to bring in a few players to strengthen the squad and take them up. Guess those differences were enough to make the owner think he'd want a different character in in the summer.
