Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | Post Match Thread

Half our squad was missing through being too pissed to even travel. If you fully understood the effect booze has at the elite level of sport, you'd be as concerned as I am mate.

At what point of the season could so many players be missing through being too pissed & the club not act? We've got TWO HUGE GAMES looming, so surely our players should be professionally disciplined enough to control themselves for two weeks, whereby they could drink the UK dry, nevermind Manchester, & no one would give a fuck... \0/
A few players were missing but this notion that they were too pissed to travel is completely unsubstantiated. I have no doubt that they enjoyed Sunday night and probably lazed about on Monday, but they won't have been hammering it three nights straight. They were allowed to have a well-earned celebration yet still went away to a top team and came back with a point. Three years ago, Liverpool lost 4-0 at our place and given the excuse of a title hangover. If our title hangover is a 1-1 draw at Brighton then we're not doing badly. From tomorrow though, we get our heads down and focus on the real business.

Some of you people are fucking mental. Genuinely.

We won the league. We've got 10 days before the fa cup. I'm ok with that performance and that fact that some guys had a better time than others!

I think we've all got some kind of syndrome (china, stockholm, munchausens?!) where we remember how bad we were against chelsea those games before the UCL final and we're fearing the worst again. I think we'll be fine - that was a complete tactical brain fuck by pep. This time round i think we're playing our best 11 twice - and we'll live with the results.
You're right. It's a balancing act with these last 3 league games. 4 points from 6 so far. Unbeaten. Rotated. Hopefully everyone gets through the Brentford match, then it's game on with the "A"team and we absolutely muller the scum, and their end's empty by the 70th minute.

I agree it was a foul. The problem I have with it is that if the defender had pulled Haaland like that a penalty would not have been given.
That's what the real issue is here, Colwill had a massive hold of Haaland just as the ball left Palmers foot. So surely if the goal isn't given, It must be a penalty.

Plus if he's given that a foul then surely a foul from Caicedo on Bernardo when he pulled him back.

That was (too) hard work and two players look like they got slight injuries (Stones & Foden).

Haaland & Foden missed headed sitters and I double dog dare ANY REF IN THE WORLD to give a penalty for ANY defender doing to ANY attacker what happened on the disallowed Haaland “winner.” Absolute fucking joke!

Play the EDS on Sunday, pay the fine and tell the PL to fuck off and see you in court!

Cotton wool now until Tuesday, when the real work begins for two Finals that could define the history of the club.

Why was Grealish "probably too pissed to travel"? What about the other three, Ake, Aksnji and Dias? Grealish is exhausted after playing endless minutes but our fans can't respect that but have to slander one of our own players based on nothing? Give it a rest FFS.
Slander? Have a day off mate you sound like a right bore. It was tongue in cheek absolutely nothing critical in it towards anybody in a game that meant nothing. It's a really weird mindset to take that as criticism.

Pep basically just said everybody was pissed out of their head 40 hours ago. You going to suggest he's slandering the entire squad?

We need some proper rest after such a tough season. No drinking or fucking about just rest, recovery and ticking over in training. Play the whole second string against Brentford.
