Seriously it’s what I’d do, Brighton thrive on playing it out from the back, trying to lure players into press and then find the spaces out wide and on the counter.Eleven men behind the ball and counter attack. Pick two or three fast attackers, Doku, Foden, maybe Savinho, the rest defensive players. Job done.
I know Pep is not going to do this.
Come on, City, sort it out.
I would hope so. They must be over 80 or dead by now.I hope so ,cause 1970s brazil would get beaten pretty hard by us.
But 2 of those games we should have won and easily. This feels a lot different the other night had echoes of Everton in Pep's first season. Let's hope we get something out of the game and regroup during the break. Tough fixtures coming up so talk of our usual late season surge is meaningless if we don't sort things out this side of Christmas. No, 17/18 three on the trot 4/4/18 Liverpool CL (A) 0-3 7/4/18 Rags PL (H) 2-3 10/4/18 Liverpool (H) 1-2 , painful week that was.
I thought same re: the Everton game similarities. But 2 of those games we should have won and easily. This feels a lot different the other night had echoes of Everton in Pep's first season. Like, fair enough it's normal to think about these things.Pivotal, season defining game for me.
Hear me out.
Worst case scenario, if we loose to Brighton and Spurs and Liverpool beat Villa and Southampton, they will be eight points ahead.
The way we are playing, I don't think the above is out of the question IMHO.
We then go to Anfield, without Rodri and players struggling for fitness/form and I can't see anything but a Liverpool win taking them eleven points clear.
Obviously, I hope things improve in the next couple of games but I just don't see it.
Apart from the Chelsea, Ipswich and West Ham games, we have really struggled in the league.
He needs to get some physicality in the midfield, Gundogan has been a bit of disaster, the injuries have left the defence exposed and we are really struggling to put the ball in the back of the net.
Hope i'm wrong.
