I hope the majority our defeats for the season have all come in this little cluster and that's the end of it more or less. Come on blues.

Eleven men behind the ball and counter attack. Pick two or three fast attackers, Doku, Foden, maybe Savinho, the rest defensive players. Job done.

I know Pep is not going to do this.

Come on, City, sort it out.
Seriously it’s what I’d do, Brighton thrive on playing it out from the back, trying to lure players into press and then find the spaces out wide and on the counter.

No, 17/18 three on the trot 4/4/18 Liverpool CL (A) 0-3 7/4/18 Rags PL (H) 2-3 10/4/18 Liverpool (H) 1-2 , painful week that was.
But 2 of those games we should have won and easily. This feels a lot different the other night had echoes of Everton in Pep's first season. Let's hope we get something out of the game and regroup during the break. Tough fixtures coming up so talk of our usual late season surge is meaningless if we don't sort things out this side of Christmas.

Noticed there has been a distinct lack of news on City’s official website regarding players. Normally there is video and training pics by now. Unless the coaching team thought best if the players just rest up for remainder of week since Tuesday’s defeat. Maybe a bit of siege mentality keep heads down to protect players.

Pivotal, season defining game for me.

Hear me out.

Worst case scenario, if we loose to Brighton and Spurs and Liverpool beat Villa and Southampton, they will be eight points ahead.

The way we are playing, I don't think the above is out of the question IMHO.

We then go to Anfield, without Rodri and players struggling for fitness/form and I can't see anything but a Liverpool win taking them eleven points clear.

Obviously, I hope things improve in the next couple of games but I just don't see it.

Apart from the Chelsea, Ipswich and West Ham games, we have really struggled in the league.

He needs to get some physicality in the midfield, Gundogan has been a bit of disaster, the injuries have left the defence exposed and we are really struggling to put the ball in the back of the net.

Hope i'm wrong.

Eeuugggh. Things don't get easier do they.
Given form, and fitness, I'd take a point.
At some point things will turn, unfortunately I don't see it being Saturday evening.
(And I'm no fanny wipe normally!!!)

I thought same re: the Everton game similarities.

Like, fair enough it's normal to think about these things.

But, nothing is defined or decided in November. We all know by now that we can win 10-15 games in a row, and other teams can just as easily bottle it.

Important and difficult game, but I don't think we need to get too existential just yet.

Caveat that by saying without Rodri I'm not too confident this season, but if any manager can find a way, it's Pep.
