I'll be honest here. Whenever I've read about kids gettin killed in the past, it never bothered me. When I heard about dogs/ cats etc gettin kicked to fuck it did.

Since having kids it knocks me sick

Can you imagine the mental torture you would go through. Day after day of nothing to do but talk to yourself, nothing else, nothing to live for, being chained like an animal, you just WANT to die, but they won't let you.

I'm totally against the death sentence for two main reasons:
1. Miscarriage of justices which can never be rectified
(imagine your son/brother/dad killed by the state then found innocent after executiuon?)
2. We preach a civilised society. No-one has the right to take another persons life,
no matter how abhorrent the crime committed.

There are crimes that on the news and I think "kill the f*cker" (especially child-killers),
but really, as a society, we just can't.

James Howson, 25, of Nelson Road, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was given a life sentence at Leeds Crown Court for the murder of little Amy Howson by a judge who imposed a 22-year minimum term.
Amy's mother, Tina Hunt, was given a 12-month suspended sentence after admitting allowing the death of a child and child cruelty. Howson was found guilty of murder by a jury earlier this week.
Sentencing him, the judge, Mrs Justice Cox, recounted how the defendant placed his daughter over his knee or other object and broke her back at their home while he was looking after her. He then sat with her body until the morning.

The judge said: "This was, in my view, a chilling and brutal attack.
"The bone was completely dislocated, resulting in spinal shock, rapid unconsciousness - mercifully - and to death."
She went on: "The jury was satisfied, on the clearest of evidence, that it was you who deliberately inflicted truly horrific injuries upon your defenceless little daughter, Amy, from which she died within a few hours."
The judge also detailed the other occasions in the weeks leading up to the murder in December last year when Howson "cruelly and deliberately assaulted Amy", leaving her with multiple fractures to her arms and legs.
Howson showed no emotion as he was led from the dock.
The judge said to him: "I have not seen the slightest evidence of remorse from you for what you did."

And you think offing this fucker is the best way to deal with him?
Surely 20 years in nick with all the hard men trying to get too him would be a better way to punish the twat.

On another note, how many psycho nut-job potential murderers have thought, "Hang on, i won't chop this human into little pieces because i might get the death sentence and that might hurt a bit."

Deterents only work for sane individuals with a clear sense of right and wrong

But the anti hanging people usually say if they are found not guilty then its a travesty and you cant bring them back..which I agree with. But in some ways whats the difference between getting wrongly hanged and getting wrongly sentenced to 20 years of violence, buggery and mental abuse at the hands of the scum presently residing in tax payer funded opulence at her majesty's pleasure!!

The obvious difference is that the accused is alive.

I suspect your argument for the death penalty is based on the financial cost to the country.
Who has final say when passing a death sentence? Those fat bastard, barely alive, bent to fuck Law Lords we have or the snidey lying politicos that may be abusing their power at the time?
It's a question of morals, and if you can find me a whiter than white, cleaner than clean fair and decent minded individual up to the job of condemming a person to death then i'd like to see 'em.
 
Where there is a clear irrefutable and undeniable combination of evidence, and the crime warrants it, then feckin fry 'em. I don't want to pay through my taxes for an Ian Brady or Ian Huntley or Muslim terrorist murderers to be incarcerated for life and god knows the feckers should never get out.

I'd be all for a public stoning/ kicking while being pissed on and being left in stocks to rot. But in the absence of that then a more clinical hanging or frying will do.

Where to draw the line would be the problem but where a murder is cold and pre-meditated and proven beyond any doubt whatsoever (which was 100000% more difficult when hanging was around last), then lets get rid of the scum.

I do believe that some will think twice if they know that if caught they will be fried or dangled. And however few that 'some' is, it still represents the saved lives of innocent human beings. For that reason alone it's worth doing. The lives of those saved far outweighs the lives of the scum lost.
