Went to a test match at Old Trafford, England v Australia.

As the afternoon wore on and the drink took hold a Mexican Wave started. After the first round somebody threw up a beach ball, the next time round every inflatable imaginable was being tossed up - palm trees, paddling pools, hammers, inflatable dolls etc etc.

The funniest thing I have ever witnessed at a sporting event.

It's a few beers in front of the box for me next week for this one rather than being at Wembley..Kind of wish I'd kept my inflatable pterodactyl from the late 80s to add to the matchday experience! It would be quite a site to see thousands of pissed up blues doing the Poznan with inflatables! (not sure howcthat would work?)
Personally, I quite like the idea , much like the 'we never win at home' song ,it's a nod to our 'heritage' to an exteny and a reminder of the humour that helped in less successful times!
Anyway, it's better than having stuff lobbed at us by a load of horrible feral fuckers as has happened at recent Cup games at The Etihad!
