Changed from Firefox to Google Chrome for some reason a couple of weeks ago and since then been having problems with both.

Firstly, Chrome has not lived up to expectation in the slightest. It regularly doesn't open the page on first click and takes a number of refreshes before it will. It doesn't remember what I want it to, so constantly having to re sign in on this forum etc. Doing my head in, uninstalled and re-installed and the problems still persist.

Went to re-install Firefox to go back to it, but for some reason it crashes the second I open more than 2 tabs, or if I open YouTube! Again I uninstalled it and reinstalled but the problems persist. No I'm stuck with no decent browser as IE and Safari don't have the features I want from a browser.

If anyone has any idea why either of my two browsers are exhibiting the problems they are, advice would be warmly received. Getting very frustrated by all this now!

EDIT: Another thing that does my head in about Chrome is it can't seem to load images with any consistency. For example if I open a tweet with a picture attached 50%+ amount of times the image won't load and again requires numerous reloading of the page to finally get it to load.

This isn't an internet problem as it doesn't happen on any other machines I have, nor did I happen until I changed browsers.

Thanks

Have you tried a complete remove of them both, remove any data from local/roaming/appdata etc too, then install, also make sure to backup bookmarks etc, i had the sameish problem with firefox, and this done the trick for me.

Chrome gives me all sorts of problems too ...... keeps on telling me a plug in (shockwave) has crashed , for a start , and it won't open pages at times either .

A reinstall of the browser ... and a reinstall of shockwave has done nothing to solve the problem.

Thanks for replies.

Basically I've given in and just putting up with the fact that every so often I'll have to refresh a page to see it. Pretty annoying but hopefully here will be a chrome update soon and it will be sorted!
