Bryan Wilson Middleton Blue RIP

Thursday Temperance club at Hac; Friday Venue, Saturday on the bucking bronco at De Villes.
Played pool against Ian Brown in the Venue.
Leo was the absolute bollocks - loads of Smiths, Roses, Mondays with the odd bit of Guns n Roses thrown in. Me and our kid would go home counting how many Smiths he’d played - loads of B sides and album tracks. The bloke that had the City shop opposite the supporters club was also on the Venue door. Colin?
Yep nearly broke my nose on the bucking bronco in De Villes, steaming pissed. Never a fan of the Hacienda apart from the odd night out. Tommy from Moss Side was the main man on the door at the Venue and when you went down stairs it was Chucky in front of the door into the club. There used to be a burger bar in there in the late 80's but Paul the owner got rid of it. I remember having an argument with the bloke who had the City souvenir shop because he told me that being a Catholic I should be a red.

Was Chucky big black fella? Stood for no nonsense. Hacienda was okay on the Thursday although Dave Haslam always seemed to have his head well and truly entrenched up his fundament. The Venue was the best though - dingy, grubby but always the best tunes. Went to shit a bit when they installed that massive metal robot thing. And when Leo sacked it off - think he had a heart attack (don’t think he was too averse to a little “assistance” of a weekend).

I think the big black fella was Tommy's cousin. He was a nutter. the doormen all seemed related. They didn't take any shit though. Chucky had glasses on and was a bit smaller than the others.

Here's a few more from that trip, the first one shows the type of character he was and had to be in the thick of it and was always the life and soul. Also a photo of the infamous City/Toro flag. RIP Bryan, thanks for the memories Blue

I recognize Bryan from the 'younger' photos ,used to see him every home and away and I've travelled on chaddy branch coaches and drunk in the chaddy arms over the years .
Only knew him on nodding terms, RIP Blue.

I've just spoken to Big Bernard who used to run the coaches and of course he remembers Bryan, and specifically the pre season Italian tours early 90s..there is a photo on here of BB fast asleep..I reminded about it and quick as a flash he said that would be lake such and such, Italy.
