It's available on free view but as a pay per month subscription

Are you sure? I thought it was just available on Sky not Freeview?

I phoned up to 'opt in', as we have BT Broadband and a YouView box, and I was told that it's included in our package and all ready to go on 1st August.

Right - BT Vision is now on the You View platfrom.

I'm on Sky downstairs and just have a cheap freeview box upstairs - not a You View box - and it's not available on the Freeview box but I can watch it free through Sky because my broadband is with BT.

Thanks lads, but you view is different to freeview isn't it?

Not really.

YouView is a box that you can use to catch up with Freeview from the last seven days.

It's not a system in itself.

Youview is effectively freeview with the adage of 7 day catch up. The catch up being 4od, and hd bollocks, channel 5 bollocks, bbc bollocks and so on. If subscribed through Bt, it comes with bt vision, which is BT's additional selection of TV, movies and music on demand etc etc. bt are offering free football on mobile devices with broadband and bt vision, alternatively free telly football with infinity broadband and bt vision. The key bit being infinity broadband for existing customers. Summat like that anyway.

You don't have to subscribe to Infinity Broadband to get BT Sport for free - it's free with any Broadband package.

Infinity is not available in my area but because I've got normal BT broaband I get BT Sports for free that I can watch via my Sky box/on pc/laptop/i-pad/mobile phone but not through my Freeview box.

You can't watch it on Virgin Media at the moment either.

BT channels are listed on my Freeview, it says on the info to sign up through the website so it's a yes.

I, that's what I thought. Pretty much mobile devices if only a broadband customer. If a youview bt vision infinity customer, then it's watched on't telly. I ain't got sky so I'm Donald ducked. Got youview, vision and standard broadband so I think I can only watch it streaming or streaming via bt sport app?
