It's the ordinary behind the scenes workers who will eventually suffer.
ginge camel and scouse will still get huge salaries paid.
It so blatant how bad they are. The people who hired them need sacking
They are going to go under like setanta, who tried to take on Sky.
BT may dwarf sky, but the barrier to entry is significantly higher than it was in the Setanta days (or ESPN for that matter).
It remains to be seen for how long the BT shareholders will back the punt of cross selling broadband on the back of content to generate a new media empire.
Viewing figures aren't great, they don't publicise the FTA content, which is alienating UEFA and the major sponsors, and there aren't many signs that BT are agile enough to respond to market feedback to make it work in the long term.
Just cancelled my subscription. They offered me 1 year half price and no extra charge for the HD subscription (total of £10.99/month), told them to stick it. When asked why I wanted to cancel I told them that it was the amateurish coverage and that I didn't sign up for MUTV or LFCTV which is what it has become. When I complained about the coverage of City, particularly camel gob & the ginger pig, the guy on the phone said McManaman & Hargreaves were ex City and that we were the club shown the most over the last two seasons. I pointed out to him that would be because we had been in the Champions League unlike their two favourites. He gave up in the end and it is now cancelled.
If they actually bid silly money for the full package and got it, what would happen? Sky would surely be finished by the mass exodus but I would be highly sceptical the masses would sign up to BT. I guess Android box makers would be happy!BT may dwarf sky, but the barrier to entry is significantly higher than it was in the Setanta days (or ESPN for that matter).
