I just found it odd that they couldn't raise a smile between them during the initial post match analysis, point about us being the only English team to win seemed to be said through gritted teeth.

Compare to Rio after the rags beat PSG last year, although tbf he's probably learnt from that not to say anything which might come back to bite him on the arse ;-)

Yeh must admit I've read a few comments that say he was fuckin awful towards us, not sure he was that bad. Basically said if we played our conventional way we'd of tonked them even more, as was mentioned umpteen times on the threads last night. He then said Ramos probably deserved a yellow and not a sending off, Courtois could of done better with the Jesus goal.

Who’s to say a more conventional team wouldn’t have been beaten? There’s certainly no evidence on past CL games that a team including Silva and Aguero would have won by more.
It’s a perfect example of armchair management thinking the games played on paper.
Somebody who’s played at a high level should know that - though Hart doesn’t seem the brightest.

I can't understand how any pundit could come out with a comment that Ramos only deserved a yellow card for the foul in Gabby. Do these guys even have a basic knowledge of the Laws of the Game? In that situation the ref has only 2 options, depending on how he sees it. Red for Ramos for preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity, or a yellow for Gabby for diving. The ref got it absolutely correct. These pundits are getting paid money for old rope.

Nobody can say but it’s his opinion and lots of other people’s. Oh and when we attacked we made them look like the very average side they are. Jose tactics had us 1-0 down just like last year away at Spurs.

The last man foul resulting in a sending off was always crap. It should result in a yellow card (if a genuine attempt was not made to get the ball) and a penalty wherever it occurs on the pitch.
It is a totally nuclear option though and ruins so many games. It is designed that way of course as it allows referees to fix the result of matches.
