I got it last week and love it.
all the weeks sport on demand and films, music, the lot.
its awesome.
apart from when its been raining hard, it struggles a tad for reception, anyone else get this?

DOG SHIT MATE! Should have waited for YOU VIEW to come out: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youview.com/category/news/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youview.com/category/news/</a>
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1733564/youview-change-view-television" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/new ... television</a>

It's ok but sometimes it doesn't record what you ask it to. It shows up on the recorded list but isn't there, which is a bit shit if you've sat down with a beer to watch a film etc. Although to be fare it doesn't happen often.
The other down side is there's no red button on The sky channel which means you can't choose which football you want to watch.

Apart from that I like it

Wait til it pipes up with a V04 error. Then you phone bt, on the hub, they tell you to reset the hub, you say that will cut off our call, they say it wont, you say it will, do it anyway, get cut off, so you phone them back, and repeat ad nauseum.

Brilliant.

Any more experiences with this?

Infinity is available for me (approx 28mb) now so thought id upgrade and while I'm at it get rid of my sky an plum for the cheaper tv/phone/broadband package with BT.

Or

I could scrap both an try out virgin package (100mb available in my area which appeals to me) which is around £10 dearer than my current bt an sky mix but with added bonuses of being able to record 3 channels an watch 1 an also ESPN an spotify for free for 6 months.

Whats your advice guys, should I stick or twist.

ive had no trouble with my recordings so far. touch wood. ive only had freeview for the past 4 years, so this is awesome to me!!! didnt want to pay sky the 70 a month they wanted, so this was the next best thing

what....you can get basic sky package with free 7.5mb broadband for £18 a month

if you pay a tenner they upgrade you to a sky + box and i even managed to wangle HD out of them for an extra £2 a month

its nearly 70quid for the full lot i meant pal.
when did u change back if you dont mind? and did you have a 2 week break in service?

I have it I thinks it's ok. Annoying that you can't watch any freeview channels in HD.

All the on demand stuff is good though and they give my ESPN for free.

i let the 12month BT vision contract lapse, then the cheeky bastards rang me and said i had renewed for another 12months some 3 months earlier....i threatened them with legalities and they backed off.

i changed back to sky last year, what do you mean about a 2 week break....if you mean switching from BT back to Sky, then yes i had 2 week break

We've had in for about 6 months now. tbh it's a bit of a pain in the arse. The "On Demand" stuff is good though, loads of choice, some decent films in the free section apart from that the menus are slowm we've had two new remotes and get V04 errors.

I'd rather have freeview and download all my films and that.

Some reception issues but no worse than $ky freezing up

Worth spending some time with their support (free even out of hours) who couldn't have been better and sent a free gizmo to boost the signal/ reduce interference which has worked a treat

Positive experience overall. Great bundle price for broadband/ phone/ bt vision. Wouldn't want to pay all that money for $ky-mutv now.
