Budget 2020

Well we were all in it together and we're now reaping the rewards of achieving Ozzie's austerity plan back in 2010 of eliminating the deficit by 2015 , resulting in a healthy surplus in government finances and a government debt of about 1.3 tn.
So now we can afford to spaff off all this spending on.....
Oh hang on a minute Gary the figures don't look right.

Bearing in mind that they are the unaffordable labour policies that you Tories were bleating on about last year ,.... and you are now trying to claim the praise for them I am laughing .

But its the Conservatives.... they wont implement / achieve any of them ...

You really want to know who you’re speaking to you muppet.

I was on this forum saying I liked the 2017 Labour manifesto for almost 3 years.

I’m not a Tory and have voted for them once in my life and it wasn’t in December.

I’m not a political football fan like you and the clowns that liked your post.

Now, are you going to say you’re pleased?

I live in the knowledge that the Tories wont implement it ..... incapable

And what if they do, what are you going to do?

You’re going to bend yourself into a political pretzel to try and find something to be angry about.

That’s the difference, Labour is your club, cult and gang, whereas I’d vote for Labour, Libs or Tory if I felt that was the best for the country, hence why I voted Libs in December.

You must be delighted with most of the policies then, Bob?

With the infrastructure spending? Absolutely. Been arguing for it for years. As I said above. That’s the good news. I’ve also argued for treating health and education spending as an asset not a liability as per some of the pre budget thinking. Austerity was a fools errand especially from 2015 onwards.

Bad news. Ten years of austerity has resulted in doubling the national debt to nearly £2 trillion with fuck all to show for it. Increased spending in a recessional economy with an uncertain trading environment looming (to put it politely) will increase pressure on the public purse and need for tax rises. We have suddenly revered course on industrial and monetary policy against an uncertain world trading environment, with no trading strategy other than ‘sovereignty dude’ and are betting the house at exactly the wrong time because we have manoeuvred ourselves down a blind alley with no other option other than to bet the house.

Fingers crossed.

Let’s not get onto why deficit is more important than debt but thank you for the objective response, as you can see others aren’t as forthcoming.

So you voted for the party that increased Tuition fees / implemented Austerity ..... Lib Dems are nothing but Tory Lite

Not in 2010 when they got in I didn’t, I voted Labour in 2010 and 2015.

See, you can’t help yourself though, you despise everyone that isn’t left wing Labour.

You’re supporting them like I support City but the difference is I know I’m a biased **** towards City and I’m bitter towards all its enemies.
