Hopefully Sunak has learned from Osbourne’s mistakes in 2010: you can’t cut your way to growth in the wake of a crisis.
With Brexit and Coronavirus looming/here, the economy needed investment like this although it remains to be seen whether its targeted in the right places. Some hit and miss policies imo although no doubt far better than anything Javid would have delivered especially on housing. Hopefully employment levels stay high because spending like this isn’t sustainable in the mid-long term.
