Bundesliga 2017/18

Still not restarted at Hamburg. Looks like the riot cops are going nto the end where it went off. Madness.

A top professional police operation. Very calm and defensive, showing a massive presence to prevent more trouble.
No cops would enter any fan block nowadays in Germany. They are following a strict policy of deescalation.
Everyone could see what was to go off, when those idiots have prepared themselves below a huge block banner.
But I think nobody was hurt, the idiots got their media attention and I hope it was calm outside the ground.

Auf Wiedersehen Hamburg, at least you have a derby v St Pauli to look forward to.

The only thing this city doesn't need for a minute are these fuckin derbies. More fan trouble ahead twice next season...

I seem to remember a fan invasion at a match in 1974, and it was subsequently abandoned. The home fans didn't take their subsequent relegation very well either.
I can't recall the exact details of the match though, apart from the fact that the home team lost.

Quality by Gladbach fans yesterday who brought their own version of the infamous Hamburg clock and ticked down the time until Hamburg finally got relegated.

Even though my Schadenfreude has reached sky high levels yesterday I do hope that Hamburg manages to get up again as soon as possible, but it wouldnt surprise me if they go in full meltdown modus in BuLi2.

Wolfsburg will now play the relegation play offs against Kiel. The problem is that Kiel´s stadium is not big enough for Bundesliga Football (only 10k), so the league has basically told them that they will not be allowed to play in the top tier.

They are considering all kind of options, even moving is a possibility but finding a ground seems to be a bit of an issue as they would not be allowed to move to Copenhagen in Denmark for obvious reasons.

Hamburg doesnt want to give the ground to them, neither does St.Pauli as St.Pauli is a left wing club, while Kiel´s supporters are not exactly left wing.

Rostock and Lübeck might become an option, but they dont seem to be favored by Kiel.

For us (Frankfurt) the season has taken a really shitty ending. With the news that Kovac will leave to Bayern it seems like the whole team is in shock and we missed out on Europe.

Cup final on the weekend might be our only chance to get to Europe next season, but we would need to beat Bayern on the pitch as well.
Off the pitch it will not be a contest anyway. ;)

Thanks a lot! Have only slept like 3 hours, drank more alcohol than needed and in the afternoon Frankfurt downtown will be painted in black, red and white.

Had to wait 30 years to see us lift a trophy again.

Incredible performance by Ante Rebic yesterday, two amazing goals and then this beauty to finish them off.

Bayern once again shown their class by leaving the pitch before the cup was handed over to Frankfurt.

They are literally like a spoiled kid that throws a tantrum whenever something doesnt go their way.

Fuck them!
