Quality by Gladbach fans yesterday who brought their own version of the infamous Hamburg clock and ticked down the time until Hamburg finally got relegated.
Even though my Schadenfreude has reached sky high levels yesterday I do hope that Hamburg manages to get up again as soon as possible, but it wouldnt surprise me if they go in full meltdown modus in BuLi2.
Wolfsburg will now play the relegation play offs against Kiel. The problem is that Kiel´s stadium is not big enough for Bundesliga Football (only 10k), so the league has basically told them that they will not be allowed to play in the top tier.
They are considering all kind of options, even moving is a possibility but finding a ground seems to be a bit of an issue as they would not be allowed to move to Copenhagen in Denmark for obvious reasons.
Hamburg doesnt want to give the ground to them, neither does St.Pauli as St.Pauli is a left wing club, while Kiel´s supporters are not exactly left wing.
Rostock and Lübeck might become an option, but they dont seem to be favored by Kiel.
For us (Frankfurt) the season has taken a really shitty ending. With the news that Kovac will leave to Bayern it seems like the whole team is in shock and we missed out on Europe.
Cup final on the weekend might be our only chance to get to Europe next season, but we would need to beat Bayern on the pitch as well.
Off the pitch it will not be a contest anyway. ;)
