Still early days and he is getting used to football in this country.He seems to have settled well and really does look good doesn't he!Alvarez, what a great buy.
It has been said before, but it is like he is a combination of our 2 former 'pretty decent' Argentinian strikers. It's almost as if he has the tenacity of Tevez and the composure and finishing quality of Sergio (his 2nd was an example of that yesterday I felt)

Excellent display, most notably in the second half. Even so, what a job Vinnie is doing at Burnley for which he deserves the greatest credit. A team which is completely different from last season in both personnel and style. Gone is the backs-to-the wall philosophy and the stop-at-all-costs approach. Vinnie brought to the Etihad a real football team and I know they took a panning but at no time did they stop trying to play real football, they never let their heads drop and they never gave up. Well played Burnley and look forward to seeing you and Vinnie in the PL.

Fine by me. The clamour for them to best us in a final would be off the scale, which is fine until Baconface trots out into the tunnel to schmooze and chat the ref up like he did against Palace in the final a few years ago. First 25 looked a bit turgid, but my god did we wake up!! Second half especially was a demolition. Loved Haalands hattrick.
Foden looked determined, de Bruyne very high class. Generally good all over the park from the half hour onwards. Unsure about Ortega's weird little slow walk out to about 30 yards with the ball, he must have done it half a dozen times, bringing the game to a standstill.
I loved both of Alvarez's goals, the first a show case of incredible movement and technical interplay, the second a wonderfully direct counter, through ball and finish. Gorgeous.
