Slightly off-topic but does anybody agree that Ivan Toney at Brentford would be a great striker for us?

Not the best performance. Only Bernardo and Rodri came out of that with any real credit. Mahrez and Sterling were particularly wasteful and Laporte could have had a red with a different ref. Cancelo also not on his game and would have been to blame had Cornet scored but a win’s a win so I’m not complaining too much.

Too much tiki-taka blu tack football. But a nice and easy 3 points. :-)

We lost a few 50/50 tackles in midfield as well, looked very lightweight. 3pt the main thing.

Mahrez is shit. Absolutely shit. Beyond redemption. I wouldn't mind if he never kicked a football for City again.

Sterling has either lost it completely or is taking the piss. His head isn't at City, he's gone. On today's showing, we'll probably have to pay someone to take him.

Burnley were Burnley. Always unpleasant to watch.

Thank God for Bernardo, Rodri and Steffen. A class above the rest.

A frustrating performance really but happy for the three points. There was always going to be changes in the team after the interruption caused by those internationals and the champs league game midweek. There were a number of sub par performances but thank goodness for Bernado, Rhodri and Steffan. Others huffed and puffed and others were really not good at all. I was disappointed Palmer didn't get on the pitch on at least 80 mins rather than 90, that just seemed pointless.

Was just thinking that watching him now. He looks a complete player. The ball sticks with him, he can beat a player, he can finish and he's got a physicality that we are missing. The doubt is if he can make the step up with the level of pressure and also if he can operate in super tight spaces.

Don't think we'd ever go after him though.

but knowing and seeing how good we can be, only makes today that much harder to bear. 3 points is what we all expected, most seem to be happy with that, so, soonest forgotten for me.

Not a bad day! Bernardo and rodri were class again. Not at our fluent best going forwards but a win after an international break is always great.

Good win all things considered with a bit of rotation.

One of Cancelo’s frustrating performances - did so many good things going forward first half but slack defensively and sloppy second half.

Rodders and Bernie very good again.

Thought Raheem was a touch better out wide second half but he needs to up his tempo in my opinion, his pace and directness are two of his biggest assets and he again only showed glimpses.

One thing I’ll say about Mahrez, his touch is still sensational but today he kept hold of the ball too long and chose the wrong option repeatedly. Relatively easy fixes for him to address.

3 points, Rags lose and everyone wanking over the dippers whilst we quietly go about our business. Not bad at all.

I enjoyed that. Felt sorry for Raz but to be fair he had two Burnley so and so’s on him all the time.
Dyche was yelling his head off in the first half and almost ended up well away from his technical area! Which caused a certain Bluemooner of your acquaintance to tell him in no uncertain terms to get back in his technical area and that he was taking liberties!
It amuses the people round me and bemuses the kids!
Phil Foden came over to give a shirt, not the one he was wearing today, to a young lad two seats down from me which we thought was great. It was in a bag. I suppose with the Covid restrictions they have to be careful. Although a Burnley player came past bare chested!

I hate to admit, but I don’t think Sterling wants to play for us any more. Today should have been the platform for him to prove to Pep and his team-mates that he deserves a new contract, but he fell short yet again. Maybe time to bank and invest in Haaland or someone who knows where the goal is.
