Seems to be a fair amount of skriking coming out of Barca. Maybe Soriano has been back for a little chat or two?

Best defensive midfielder in the world.

A bit like Barry in the way that he just keeps the game ticking, keeping it simple. A very under-rated player, goes unnoticed a lot of the time, I think he's brilliant.

However, I doubt he'll ever leave Barca. Not right now anyway, sadly. No chance we'll sign him any time soon.

Manchester City, accusing them of trying to unsettle their players after they were linked with Sergio Busquets.

Reports have suggested City are lining up a big-money move for Spain international Busquets as they look to bolster their midfield options.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has blasted City and warned them off making a move for Busquets, while he also aimed a swipe at Arsenal for their raids on the club's academy by luring away their best young players.

"Manchester City want to remove our players and want to destabilise us," said Rosell. "It also happens with Arsenal, who come knocking for youth football players and offer them a lot of money.

"Now City have joined in. We are the enemy to beat. There are a lot of people who don't want us to win.

"But we must be calm - Busquets is another example like Messi, Valdes, Xavi, Puyol and the rest.

"We have great players and they are 100 per cent Barcelona."

Manchester City have sternly denied reports linking them to Barcelona and Spanish midfield duo Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Busquets. Reports in the media had linked the Premier League champions with the two World Cup winners with Roberto Mancini known to be unhappy at the transfer business conducted by the club in the summer.

However, the Daily Mirror reports that on Wednesday evening, City released a statement on their website refuting claims that bids for Fabregas and Busquets were imminent.

“There’s no basis to these claims and the club has neither made nor is it planning to make an offer for these players,” read the statement.

another midfielder............... what would be the point in buying garcia and rodwell

Busquets, Natural Long term replacement for Barry

Fabregas Would be the ideal driving force in Midfield to replace Yaya in 12-18 months time.

I can see this happening

just wishful thinking but i think joao moutinho would look majestic in our midfield, we don't have this type of midfielder in our squad and that's pivotal in keeping possesion against very good teams, i think he would be a better value for money than both busquets and cesc

Hate Busquets. One of probably 4-7 players in the world I'd say absolutely not to, no matter how good he is.

Busquets is more tied to his club than De Rossi is, and we know how hard it had been to lure him away from Roma.

Who would want to leave Barcelona at the moment? It would be a wonderful team to play in and is still the best in the world in my opinion.

Busquets is playing alongside lads he has known since he was a child, he is living the dream - I can't see him wanting that taken away from him.

Fabregas maybe with big M, Busquets no chance.. why the hell he would move from his country, sunny city, great club where he is regular and very important player and club that tops world's football average players' wages for another country and rainy Manchester.

Now we've been linked with Tello.
What's up? Something must be going on. Barca players' agents may have approached us with the view to sell them to us. Could it be because Barca may be attempting to buy a new FW or a midfielder in Jan.?

Oh and we were linked with Iniesta 4,5 days ago as well.

I wonder if we are after a player Barca are also interested in.

Why don't we just buy the Nou Camp whilst were at it.

Haha there's fucking no chance of getting Busquets. I think if Fabregas still has mixed feelings in a season or so we could get hold of him. Which would be a quality signing
