calling all Apple/iPad experts/owners

(and I'm well aware I'm a total dummy with Mac O/S and iPad/iPhones - although I can tell you where to get a Chinese 7" rip off tablet for 35 quid and how to root it for a super kid's 'throwaway' toy - Android based of course, but it's styled on Apple, black and silver metal, similar buttons, etc)
 
You can jailbreak it to get flash on it. Or there's a few more streaming site apps, like Ustream and TVU I think. Can't help you anymore than that as I've not got an iPhone/iPad either. No doubt someone on here who has will be able to help.
 
@MCFCinUSA are you an expert with android tablets, I'm after a cheapish one that will play videos in the browser ,been looking at specs on some but can't figure out much from them, any help please

you can buy one direct from China for around 30 quid all in Karlzberg, but you're probably going to be looking carefully at whether you'll be running Gingerbread (2.3 as opposed to 2.2) or if Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich might be better platforms for your use?

as with anything you pay for what you get - but if something's retailing for $200 or $300 here (in the US) I can probably say you'll find the equivalent in the UK but with a pound sign in front of it, and the same for one half to two thirds or less if you pick it up straight from China and don't mind a non-branded version.

you'll find all sorts on Ebay, and then on the Chinese international 'direct micro wholesale' sites like Happy Deal or Dino Direct.
