Eastlands boss hopes to take advantage of uncertainty at the San Siro to nab Argentine.
Manchester City are apparently keen on snapping up Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso. Roberto Mancini is hoping to lure the Argentine from his former San Siro stamping ground and believes the uncertainty that will follow Jose Mourinho’s departure may well influence any potential move for the 29 year old.
Cambiasso was instrumental in Inter Milan’s treble winning success this season and is a world class defense minded midfielder and is apparently a player Mancini greatly admires. The Eastlands boss has been linked with a myriad of new signings as he tries to mould his side with players he himself has brought in, as opposed to those he inherited when he took over the reins from Mark Hughes last December.
The Inter man was sensationally left out of Diego Maradona’s World Cup squad but is still very much at his peak and could feel that should Jose Mourinho leave the club, which he has hinted he will do, the time would be right to bring an end to his six year spell at the club.
Having won five Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia’s and now a Champions League to boot, it could be that Cambiasso feels there is little left to achieve at the club and could therefore be tempted by a big money offer from Manchester City.
