Camera up the bum

Been there, done that.

The drink before was awful and I'd ran out of baby wipes, even good toilet roll gets uncomfortable.

For me the camera wasn't as comfortable as I had IBS, really painful after they inflated my intestine. That part is usually better for most though.

I’ve had a camera up my arse and the prep was the worst bit. I had to barricade myself in the bog for ages. Having a camera up there was uncomfortable but they gave me sedation, so it was bearable.

Good luck.

Having beaten bowel cancer last year, it’s vital to let the professionals do their job so they can find anything that might cause you damage.

I was dazed and confused for a good 48 hours but those surgeons saved my life last year. People from my dad to my friend David were not so fortunate.

All the best for your health.

Well just on my second pint of movicol ready for my colonoscopy tomorrow.
Not looking forward to it but I suppose its better to know if there is something wrong up there.
I’ve had a few - the movicol motions are far worse than the camera. By the last few 100ml of the stuff I’m almost retching with the taste.

What’s actually worse is when the equipment goes ‘bing’ mid procedure and you are informed that hopefully an engineer can fix it before you come back 1st thing tomorrow…

Horrid experience.
Waited yonks for an appointment at Wythenshawe hospital for mine.
When the day eventually came I was sat in the waiting room with 5 others(me being last up,excuse the pun).
All 5 were in and out( ) very efficiently.
My turn.
Fuckin power cut throughout Wythenshawe at that very moment!
Doc says,no problem, generators kicked in,can do it on that!
Procedure room,full of student doctors.
Went ahead,unsuccessfully,had to go back.
