A few mates and myself go camping each year with our kids, last year we went to st.davids in red wharf bay, Anglesey, but are struggling to get booked in this year as they don't accept groups of any type.

Any other suggestions? A neerby beach and pub are the only requirements and it has to be a 2 hour ish drive from Manchester

This is a good site to find sites with reviews and a forum.
We use it whenever we're looking for somewhere in the uk to pitch the tent.

Have fun and pmsl at the previous replies!

If anyone wants an alternative try Gibraltar Farm, Silverdale.

Shell Island nr Barmouth booked!

Cheers for the link and thanks for fuck all to the comedians ... I love you all

Been to Shell Island,good place
Barmouth is a great little town, lots of things to do and has plenty of pubs which most serve good food, plus you can walk the bridge which crosses the estuary, its a public footpath and a railway line, you have to pay 25p though!
Just to let you know Shell Island is near a RAF base and if your lucky you might see Tornado's flying low across the bay
