When the battery charger is plugged into my laptop I lose connection to the internet. As soon as I unplug it my internet connection returns I am baffled. I'm on BT broadband by the way. Thanks in advance.

You see the battery life icon on the bottom right, double click on it, and change it to maximum performance.
Also on the bottom you should see wireless lan, wired lan, and card bus… turn them all on…. hit apply, and plug in your charger, let me know if this works for you?

Thanks for the advice Danamy but no idea if your method worked or not. I switched the laptop on today and have had no problems at all, I'm still baffled to what was going on with the thing though. If it happens again I will give your tip a go.
