There's nothing to moan about anymore, and I'm struggling with the transition

These threads are all morphing into the same question "is there still a place for such and such in our team?" .There is a place for the whole squad, just read the Carlos quotes and Mancinis, 3 games a week from next week providing we stay in all comps.

of course there's space for Nige in the team, he's a quality player.
the question wasnt' is their space for him in our team, the question was will we ever see him used in another way to what he's always been used.

some games yaya is given license to get forward, others to just play defensive mid, same, maybe even more so, with Barry.
never with Nige though, its always defensive, i think he has more and i'd like to see it tried

Fair do's mate, just jumped straight in without reading it properly. I'm pretty sure he has the ability, but he will probably be reserved for the less gung ho games....cant wait to find out how the season unfolds though because everyone is good enought o shine in the present system :)

I think in the bigger games we're probably going to play a more different system.
One that'll see De Jong in his bonafide DM role.

We've all seen him do the odd 'wow' trick but I think he's far better as a DM.
