Can we really win all our last 4 games?

If we do then we get 4th, anyone else confident that the last 4 games can be won???
 
It is very possible and the most important.

Although if Spurs lose to United on Saturday, we only have to win our next 3 and 4th place is ours.
 
No, but I think we can win three and draw one (Spurs or Arsenal). And I think that would be enough. Villa are running out of steam, West Ham should be guaranteed safety, Arsenal look there for the taking, especially given their CBs are Campbell and Silvestre, and Spurs' good results have been at home. I have a feeling they're do a good thrashing away.
 
i dont know why alot of people are thinking arsenal are gonna be easy pickings, and why they are so sure spurs will get beat by utd. im brickin it

I agree with you. Saturday is a real big game for us. If we can get a win we will have good momentum going in to our crunch games against villa and spurs.
 
I have religiously supported this club for 31 years. Of course we can will all our last four games and finish 4th and, of course, we won't.

It's all in the script again, We lose one, Spurs win two, Villa win two and Liverpool win one.

We'll end up seventh and Pompey will win their Europa League appeal.

I will get slated for this but every last bit of historical evidence says that this will happen.

Please prove me wrong but it never does prove me wrong. Please ram these words down my throat but they never are rammed.

Because they're missing the spine of their side-Almunia, Gallas and Vermaalen and Fabregas. I don't think they'll be easy, but if we put in a good performance I think we can do it.

Nahh.. we'll finish 4th but make hard work of it, we'll prob have to wait until the last min against WHU.
 
If we win against arsenal and spurs lose against the rags then i think we have an confident boost to pick up 4th, but if that really happened then all i can say is through out the whole season depends on spurs game either we snitch 4th or not! i think villa will be hard either ! but im always bad on predicting so ill just watch the table and hope we rise !
 
Beat Arsenal and Spuds lose against the scum, were favourites, villa won't be easy and neither will spuds, but going into the games infront on points is an instant boost.

i've said for ages now april 24th could be the day the race for 4th becomes alot more clearer, we have to match spuds results, simple.
 
Can we win all 4 games? It's a bit like saying can you throw a dice and get a six - of course we can, but it's not likely.

I'd say 40% chance of winning at Arsenal, 60% chance of beating Villa, 40% chance of beating Spurs, and 60% chance of beating WHU, which gives us about a 1 in 17 chance of winning all 4 games That's about the same as throwing 2 dice and getting either 2 or 12 (that's a 1 in 18 chance).

And if Spurs lose at ManU and we don't need a result at Arsenal, winning the other games is 1 in 7 based on the odds above, which really is like rolling a dice...
 
I still maintain well finish 6th or 7th. The fact that villa playing with confidence have the best run in and spurs believing they can beat anyone at the moment makes me even more confident that I'll be right in the end. The only game ithink we might win is against west ham. I'm not too down hearted though because next year well have a stronger team and mount a stronger challenge.

Thank you DD..............reading your post makes me feel confident we will get the 4th spot.
Reason.............we always fall on our ass when everyone gets over confident and that is on thing you can not be accused of !!!
 
Our season comes down to the last 4 games. If we want to be in the Champions League, we need to be confident of beating Arsenal, Villa and Spurs.

IF we do get 4th. spot, there will be better teams than that at COMS next year and we need to be confident gainst them too. No point in getting there and then blowing it against the champions of Liechtenstein or San Marino.
 
If you want the honest truth, I personally doubt that we will win any of our four remaining games. With Arshavin back and the pressure off, Arsenal will wipe the floor with us. Villa are incredibly difficult to beat right now. Spurs nearly always beat us. West Ham away is our best chance but they may be on a high having by then secured their Premiership status. The fixture list always made it difficult for us to finish the season strongly but the body language of many players against the Scum even when we were drawing and the renewed form of all our rivals makes me think that keeping hold of sixth place will be no mean achievement. The battle for fourth will be between Spurs and Villa, whichever beats us at Eastlands will probably make it.
