Can't stop coughing - anything to help?

Not strictly speaking a household appliance, but my mate reckons a good wank can stop the coughing. Anyone in the house that can give you a hand?

I doubt you'll get any relief from a toaster, kettle, stove, fridge or dishwasher.
I don't have any experience with any other household appliances (or housing applicience for that matter) but maybe someone else will chime in. Good luck.
