Capitalism if you listen to the owners of capital has brought about the highest level of living standards we have ever known. We enjoy decent lives mostly but it has left an underclass of people who cannot access the system or ever enjoy the fruits of the Capitalist dream.

Capitalism works by exploiting precious resources for personal gain, resources can be metals, coal, wood, animals and yes, you and me. people.

Laissez-faire capitalism can be exploitive beyond the bounds of the normal, possibly moral, desires of those on the pointy end of the stick. That’s where guardrails need to come in.

The balance required is where society often falters, but the swing of the pendulum can help return it to a semblance of mutually beneficial remuneration for all.

When, or whether, that happens can determine whether balance can be maintained or imbalance creates fracture, distress, and, more destructively, jealousy, envy and animosity.

I would never want to live in any communist country run by a dictator, like say North Korea where people are starving to death, or China where they have slave labour enabling them to manufacture everything cheaper than anywhere else.

You live in the west where if you study, get some qualifications like a trade or profession and work hard you can own a house, cars, have all the latest tech, stuff your house with nice furniture and appliances, go on foreign holidays, cruises. Eat whatever you want.
The system isn't perfect but it's easily the best there is.

As for Capitalists loving war, please explain Putin invading Ukraine and the one in N Korea provocating his geographical neighbours with continual missile launches.

If you hate capitalism so much perhaps you should emigrate to a country more to your liking ?

Opportunity or outcomes?

If we get the same $1, you spend it and I turn it into $2, do we both get another dollar tomorrow? Or, do I have to give you my earned dollar so we can be “equal” again?

And, if it’s not all about money, what is it about in your dreamy Utopia?

Lastly, where is this idea of yours currently working, so we can all see what it is you find so compelling and how to achieve it?
