I don't know, food shortages soon, running out of oil with demand still increasing, rise of China and India. The US looks pretty fucked, we basically have no economy, all based on services and property markets and stuff, we don't actually manufacture anything much. IMO we have to become as self sufficient as possible, as soon as possible, particularly with energy and fuel, but that will take more than 4 years and the process will not be popular, so the politicians won't bother.

That is because people have been re-training as plumbers as there was a shortage. Same thing happend in Nursing, went from a shortage to an oversupply fairly quickly.

I tried to take on some communist views a few years ago, then I was educated on the pitfalls of it. Scared me.
