This is one for senior Bluemooners.

Mrs Vienna was asked this morning who stood in as captain during the'68/6o season when Skip Book was out injured.

We’ve both been scratching our heads trying to come up with a name, but to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Tell mrs vienna she shoukd be peeling the spuds and not asking (albeit a great) questions when theres dinner to be had. That emily pankhurst has a lot to answer for ffs

I’d have guessed either Mike Doyle orAlan Oakes. Having checked their ages, Oakes would be much the more likely of the two.

Alan Oakes was captain in the 2 legged European cup tie against Fenerbahce that we got dumped out of 1-2 on aggregate (0-0 home, 1-2 away).
