Carabao Cup Final Post-Match Thread

I always thought that Sylvan did a sound job as a centre back for both City and Everton as well.
Seriously though if any Villa fan held me in disdain,I would just think about them talking in that stupid Brummie accent and laugh my bollocks off at them.
How can you take anybody seriously when they have the worst accent in the whole of the UK.Wankers .
The scousers are saying "hold our beers".

As British Rail used to sat "Let the train take the strain". Fuck that driving 200 miles back from London in the dark.
I left Piccadilly at 11.55 am ,had 2 seats to myself,so had a half hour snooze and got into Euston at 14.10. Bit of a stroll down to Russell Square and ate my barms(not f**kin muffins)in the park.
On the Tube at 3.15pm and at Wembley for 3.45pm.
Return journey I was back at Euston for 7.30pm,bought a couple of sarnies and a bottle of Lucozade for £7(robbing twats).
Hung about for an hour. Train out of Euston at 8.35pm with 2 seats to myself again. Back in Piccadilly at 10.55pm and home for 11.15pm. Fresh as daisy and had a bottle of red vino to celebrate our fine victory.
The only problem I encountered all day was my phone went battery went dead halfway home so I could not enjoy the posts on Bluemoon until I got home.
All for £55 return.
Oh and I nearly forgot but Euston provide a water tap to refill to top up your empty bottle, and it actually counts how many plastic bottles have been saved from polluting the environment.
I'm sure that Greta would have given me a quick nosh now that she knows that I am a City eco-warrior.
How did you get the train for 55. Mine was 92. I got back to Euston roughly the same time as you and got the 1957 train which was chocca. Much more civilised way to travel though, I’d driven down for the previous few visits but I was glad to be back on the train.

Might have a rail card or had a discount code. I came down on the 12.21 from Stockport and back on the 7.17 and it cost about £60.

I ordered mine on 23rd December to take advantage of early booking discount. I was confident that we would beat United over 2 legs and took a calculated gamble .
I was proved correct in the end, although I must admit my arse was twitching for a few minutes when United scored in the 2nd leg game at The Etihad.
I did the same in 2016 when I booked Euston return for £37 after we got beat by Everton in the semi-final 1st leg.
I just knew that we would overturn the deficit and get to the final.
Sometimes you just have to speculate to accumulate.

£55 - return train ticket
£72 - ticket in Block 109
£7 - Sarnies and drink from Euston station shop
£5.60 - Tube from Euston Square to Wembley Park and back.

Total cost - £139.60.
So a Wembley final can be done on a reasonable budget without costing a mortgage.

What sarnies were they?

Flaked tuna & pickles that were reduced price - down to £2.35 each. I sat on the bench outside Euston bogs and consumed them whilst watching the world go by.
That is the only placed I noticed any hint of agro,a couple of teenage City fans singing "Shit on the Villa " at any passing Villa fan,but none of the Villa fans were taking the bait. The City youngsters soon moved on,maybe to try their luck elsewhere.
