13th in the PL and reached a cup semi-final. Their best season since 1996. Even if they do get relegated, Cooper will bring them back up. Makes sense for them to keep him.

Firstly, he is Welsh, not English.
Secondly, Steve Cooper had 17 new players foisted on him at the start of the season, not targetted by him.
Thirdly, as a promoted team, 13th in the league, is not a bad position to be currently in ?
Lastly, the fans and the players are behind him. That counts for a lot when there are teams below Forest, who obviously do not have that "coming together" spirit.
Oh, as regards being out of his depth, I presume he know he was the manager of England U' 17's when they won the World Cup, in which Foden starred, a few years ago ?
