Carlos Borges | Signed by Ajax for £12m

Is Edozie a winger.wingback or fullback? or rather, where does he best operate?
Winger. Can play on both sides
I thought they'd cancelled the youth cup entirely, good to know it's still a goer. Any news on format anywhere?

The statement from the FA reads:

We confirm that The FA Youth Cup shall recommence following its temporary suspension due to COVID-19 restrictions, in consultation with the relevant stakeholders, as follows:-

Revised Schedule

Third Round Proper 12 outstanding matches to be played by Saturday 20 March
Fourth Round Proper To be played by Saturday 3 April
Fifth Round Proper To be played by Saturday 17 April
Quarter Final To be played by Saturday 1 May
Semi Final To be played by Saturday 15 May
Final To be played by Saturday 29 May

10 goals and 17 assists for him now in 19 appearances. I expect big things from him for the EDS next season
And he didn't even play the full 90 minutes in those 19 appearances.

27 goal contributions in 1451 mins (19 appearances).

That's a goal contribution every 54 minutes.

For context, Delap who is having the best return for our EDS this season has:

25 goal contributions in 1640 mins (19 appearances).

That's a goal contribution every 66 minutes.

Now Delap is a year older playing a higher level competition PL2 vs PLU18, but that's still mighty impressive.

It is impressive but Delap is just 18 playing in an U23 league, Borges is 17 playing in an U18 league. Absolutely no clue on the average ages that other teams put out in the U23s though.

It'll be interesting to see how Borges manages in the U23s next season.

Edit: According to Transfermarkt we have the youngest U23 squad at 19.0, Liverpool for comparison is 20.2

It's complicated due to teams using U18s and overage players (Sandler recently for us) who won't be listed as U23s squad players.

There is another page which says that our average age for all players used is just 18.1 which again is the youngest.

13 goals and 21 assists in 22 appearances in the U18 PL. An absolute joy to watch. A player that gets you on the edge of your seat
After a quick look up, he actually has broken the record for most assists in the U18 league... ever... in 1 season.

So to be clear, he isn't just the top leading assist man this season, he is the all time leading assist man ever.

Now for context, most people only play 1 or 2 seasons in the U18 league, but he is first in 22 appearances, here are some of the others, notice the player with the 2nd most assists did so in 32 games.

This isn't even updated based on today's result.

Going off the table from @WallyA shouldn't he be on 13 goals and 19 assists in 22 appearances for the U18 PL? He had a goal and an assist last night. Still brilliant figures either way, just wondering where your numbers are coming from?
