I’m struck by how many of these goals are goals we don’t tend to score anymore. You get the feeling that a prime Tevez in this team would cause absolute mayhem and would likely improve our goal tally by a good few percentage points. Great, great player.

One of my favourite City signings ever. Was a huge fan of him ever since I first saw highlights of him as a kid. Couldn't believe West Ham got him, and was shocked when he went to us.

He was one of our very, very best. He hardly ever lost the ball, and if he did, he'd chase and chase until he got it back. Few better dribblers than him too. And, what a shot - remember the pile driver away at Norwich in the 2012 6-1 win there, and he could take a mean penalty and free kick.

Yeah, just where you’re imagining. It was on the side of the Renaissance Hotel on Deansgate. Harvey Nichols is on the other side of the road.
It’s still a billboard location today, the Cathedral does face it.
It was absolutely brilliant that. People will still talk about that billboard in 100 years’ time. Best thing Garry Cook did. Rags were frothing at the mouth about it after telling us for two years that they didn’t give a shit about us, we’d never do anything with our money, nobody would sign for us, we were smalltime… then they were almost apoplectic about us signing Tevez and even more that billboard (“Who's that twat from Argentina, Who's that money grabbing whore, Carlos Tevez is his name, and he hasn't got a brain, Cos he won't be winning trophies any more”)...
Ferguson saw his arse about it n’all. The bitterness coming out of him (“Noisy Neighbours” “will City ever go into a derby as favourites? Haha, not in my lifetime!”)…
