I always think its alot harder to compare players now to ones back in the 80s and before then because the game has evolved so much now, if you could go back in time and bring the greats back from the 70s and 80s and put them in the league now they wouldn't be able to handle the pace and technicallity of the game and the old school players would be getting sent off constantly.

I would say Tevez is probably one of the most talented players I've seen in the past (as far as I can remember) 13 years at City, Gio (kinky) was a class act the guy played 100+ games for us Tevez has only played 34 I think I want to see him in the Sky Blue shirt longer till I class him as our most talented player ever or put him down as a legend.

But he is F***in awesome

I'm 21 and he's the best centre forward I've seen at the club. obviously I loved goater and the like but for raw footballing talent Tevez is the best striker, Ali or Gio the best midfielder and mozza the best defender(for the time and place). Weaver is still my favourite keeper, on his day the guy was a pleasure to watch and an absolute nutcase.

Right im only 17 so i never saw Bell and all the other City greats but i was just thinking surely Carlos has to be the best ever City player. Obviously not got the stats just yet but just looking at his performances, he must be the best?

He has a long long way to go to match Bell and Trautman - not because they gave better performances but because they put it in and put on performances year on year on year.

But he has made a good start and one of the best players i have ever seen in a City shirt.

No way Geo was a better player than Tevez.... Geo was the most thrilling to watch, but Tevez adds so much more to the team and just doesn't have an "off" game. Geo was moments of sublime brilliance... Tevez is almost constantly winning the ball and making magic happen.

Ahh but what you forget my friend is that kinky, was always 2/3 yards ahead of the whole team.......he could be in positions waiting to make a killer pass before the forwards realised he had the ball......sooo frustrating to watch at times.

As for whether he was better than Tev' I would say no atm simply because of Tev's workrate......but hell I'd love to see Kinky if he could have played in todays team coz then it would be difficult to choose between them.

The OP clearly said "most talented", so why are people going on about he needs to win this or he has to do play for x years before he can become a legend. Talent isn't the same thing as "greatness".
