Get rid now and put some money in the bank.
Have you all forgotten the personality of this man.
He will not sign another contract and will leave next summer.

If the 'personality' comment means it is a problem to give 100% for the club in every game he played for us, I'm ok with his personality. It now seems Tevez was just the only one prepared to stand up against Mancini's arrogance. I know a player has to toe the line but who knows what was going on behind the scenes?

I would like him to stay, BUT please do not use some general allegations about the previous manager's style to excuse the behaviour of refusing to warm up, and then fucking off to Argentina without the club's permission for 4 months - forgive and forget yes, but please do not try and re-write history

-- Fri May 17, 2013 2:00 pm --

so if Edin goes you want to get rid of tevez to leave us with Aguero and Guidetti ?

that leaves us to sign two top class strikers better to leave us needing one and Tevez stay until next summer and leave on a free when we replace him then

we will never again have "four world class strikers," mainly because it's an idiotic use of resources. aguero, guidetti and another

Doesn't have to be world class, but I think we need more than just three strikers. Two will presumably be on the pitch at the same time and one on the bench, if one gets injured then we've got no backup forward. I doubt we'd feel particularly comfortable with Guidetti taking an outright starting role too (in the event of an injury).

if he is not good enough to do that, once fit and given pre season game time, then he would not be the right person for that role - he has to be able to step in when needed

Last year on his contract and he is getting on a bit. If we could get £20million for him I would take that.

Di Marzio reports Juve have been in contact with us over Tevez.
This one could be a runner but that must mean they are not as keen as previously thought on signing Jovetic unless they want both, which is unlikely.

BTW, what - if anything - is known about whether Carlos is content with us and happy to stay another season? Or more?

Doubt it is serious interest. They offered £6 million for Van Persie and a loan for Balotelli I think.

How likely is Mancini to join Monaco? I can't see both Mancini and Tevez going there, although we want Mancini to get a job soon so we pay him as little compo as possible.

Any chance of a swap deal?; Ibrahima Toure seems a handful and has 24 goals in 33 appearances for monaco.

Could be a cheap option as backup striker

Le 10 Sport: Tevez (with Kia) recently met Monaco owner Rybolovlev and is positive to joining. Only lacking a concrete bid from Monaco now.

If they have met and this is true then a concrete bid wull surely come... Monaco is probably the only team in the world who will pay a "good" price for him despite 1 year left on contract, since they really want to make an instant impact in League 1 next season.

Fukin hope so, mercenary number 1 out the door

if you want rid of mercenarys we will have a very thin squad to pick from !

Spot on - they're only here coz we pay them all shed loads of money

Otherwise they'd be at the swamp, surely?
Of course ,it's they're childhood dream.

I think if Tevez goes, Dzeko stays. We won't replace 3 of our 4 strikers over one season (including Mario)

Nah, we'll try and shift both Carlos and Dzeko if the right bids come in. Do't think we'd be too bothered if Carlos stuck around for another season though.

Cavani, Sergio and A.N Other (older experienced player who's happy not to play every week) with Guidetti as 4th striker plus we'll probably sign a wide player that's comfortable up front if necessary.

Tevez is now an attacking midfielder.

This.

I think I read he has 17 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season, and for the majority he has been playing as a number 10 rather than the main man up front.

Personally I think we would be stupid to not to keep him for a few more years, as an attacking midfielder, or a number 10 there is not many in the world better than him.

I disagree, quite strongly in fact. I think it's largely due to this we've been so limp up front this season. Put Hazard or Mata in Tevez's position and we'd have added 20 goals to our tally IMO. Tevez was always at his best as a sole striker, and his effectiveness has slowly but surely diminished with the rise of the rest of our attack (notably Aguero). He holds onto the ball far too long to play as an ACM. I think he'd tear it up moving to a team where he can be the main striker again.

If we could shift on Tevez and replace him with a proper ACM, not a converted striker, we'd be so much more lethal up front. Or if we're going to have Cavani up top and Aguero wide left, put Silva or Nasri there. Both have got more vision and willingness to play in team mates than Tevez.

hOW MUCH WOULD WE HAVE TO PAY TO GET SOMEONE LIKE TEVEZ, REMEMBER WE HAVE LOTS OF MONEY, WE DONT HAVE TO LOOK TO MAKE A PROFIT ON PLAYERS. ANYONE THAT THINKS WE WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT TEVEZ IS A NUMPTY

Clueless , first off what's ACM?

Secondly , he contributed towards 27 goals from that position......who are you after zidane ?
