CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

I’m incredibly happy for the decision. It shows everything that people said about the club was not true. We will defend on the pitch what we won on the pitch.

We should be apologised to because if we did something wrong we will accept the decision from UEFA because we did something wrong but we don’t expect Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea or Wolves to defend us but we have the right to defend ourselves when we believe what we have done is correct and three independent judges said this. Today is a good day, yesterday was a good day for football because we play by the same rules as all the clubs in Europe. If we had broken FFP, we would have been banned but we have to defend ourselves because we were right. People said we were cheating and lying and the presumption of innocence was not there. When we were proved right we were incredibly happy becasue we can defend what we have done on the pitch.

It would be nice but I don’t think so. What happened in recent years, how many times people came to our club to whisper. I would love it to finish and go to the pitch and play on the pitch and after if they beat us don’t hesitate we will congratulate them but they lost off the pitch. They have to go on the pitch and try to beat us. I said many times here, if we did something wrong we accept our ban from FIFA, UEFA, PL, FA, we are here. But we can defend ourselves and yesterday was a great day for football not a bad day for football because it showed we played by the same rules that all the elite clubs play by. We can play in the CL next season because what we have done is right. They have to accept it, go on the pitch and play against us.

Maybe not if it irks you that much mate but it was nice to read an article that just nails it.
I liked his comment about Chelsea buying Shaun WrightPhilips from us just to put him on the bench to make up their English Quota, just because they could

Klopps quote:

"From a personal point of view, I'm happy Manchester City can play in next season's Champions League, because if they have 12 games less, I don't see any chance for any other teams in the Premier League."

"I don't wish anything bad on anyone but I don't think it was a good day for football. Financial Fair Play (FFP) is a good idea and it was there to protect teams and the competition, and clubs have to make sure the money they want to spend is from the right sources."

"I come from Germany, where it's a different club-based system and it's not an owner system, so as long as they stick to that system, you will never have those problems. It is clear where you get the money from."

Well you could just f**k off back to Germany then!

Mikel Arteta however:

"There is no question about what happened." "They completely deserve to be in the Champions League because what they've done on the pitch is unquestionable and the regulators have looked at it and have decided that they haven't done anything wrong.

"So you have the two aspects that are really clear and transparent and they're going to be in Champions League because they deserve it for what they do on the pitch and what they do outside the pitch."

I don't care what he has to say. Fuck him.

He completely embarrassed himself to any person with a remote understanding of what the case was actually about, and what the judgement was yesterday.

If we had a media that had some integrity, he would be absolutely destroyed by writers and journalists. These are people with the power to get a manager sacked, when they start at it, yet i bet nobody will even remotely criticise this, which is, at the very very least, an utterly classless and clueless comment.

Why was it a bad day for football?

I understood he thinks it’s bad because he believes in FFP. He then goes on to say he doesn’t know anything about our case.

The snippets of text are out of context, watch the interview, I was fuming before I watched it, now I’m all meh.
