I just love a good plot twist!Has it crossed anyone’s mind that we hatched a masterplan all along to undermine FFP and UEFA?
Maybe Rui Pinto is our spy?

On what grounds could UEFA justifiably request redactions?I don't see it like that, if CAS had meekly submitted to UEFA's requested redactions the document would be out by now.
City had claimed the UEFA case was prejudicial. I would imagine that UEFA's investigatory process will have been scrutinised and if City had evidence of interaction between rival clubs, other parties, and UEFA, I think that would be relevant.
UEFA can't prevent other clubs from lobbying them. It would be more damaging to UEFA if they had cobbled together a flawed case as a result of biased investigation. That would be very damaging, but any impact will be negated by the indifference of a compromised football media. Then perhaps the CAS panel may object to this letter possibly attempting to influence directly the CAS verdict.
Not least because Leterme's pal Khelaifi has now been charged with corruption offences by Swiss Prosecutors relating to the Qatar World Cup bid. Remember Leterme's critics claim he has done some sort of deal with Khelaifi to help Qatari-owned PSG avoid UEFA sanctions.Yves Leterme come out of this saga with his reputation diminished and he may well have lawyers trying to affect the publication. I can see UEFA’s governance being undermined more by the full ruling than say concerns about other football clubs with ex leaders involved in the investigation.
Oh yes. Beautiful beautiful Karma. Not least because Leterme's pal Khelaifi has now been charged with corruption offences by Swiss Prosecutors relating to the Qatar World Cup bid. It is easy to see why his lawyers would be nervous. The vultures are circling. How sweet it would be if Khelaifi, Leterme, and Tebas all went down.
A problem with this is that any kind of justice, including CAS justice, is seen as suspect by the general public. Clearly the CAS ruling was great news for City but then general justified distrust for authority means that many people just wont believe it particularly if they always believed in City's guilt.Oh yes. Beautiful beautiful Karma.
Good thought.Another, probably unlikely scenario. CAS published the award on the 13th July, stating that the final award with reasons would be published in a few days. How many days can "a few" extend to? By their regulations they have up to 3 months to publish and can extend this longer. Perhaps they didn't expect such a degree of negative reaction from the media, Tebas and other prominent cartel figures. We all appear to think that CAS should publish early to quell these accusations and protect it's reputation. There was some initial talk that UEFA should appeal to the Swiss courts and, under CAS regulations, that should happen within 30 days. No doubt any appeal by UEFA would be futile and put themselves in an even worse position than they are in now but it would really drag this out, which would be bad for us but also, to a great extent, CAS. Maybe, just maybe, CAS are concerned that UEFA, perhaps in their desperation but more likely under pressure from the usual suspects (who would also benefit from UEFA being even further weakened as well as prolonging the attacks on City), want to wait the full 30 days before publishing the full report. This would mean that UEFA could only appeal without knowing the reasoning of the award in similar way to why they didn't released the full judgement and reasoning of the AC judgement because they knew we were going to appeal to CAS.
We're still waiting on the AC "reasoning"!
