Forgive me if i'm being stupid here, but if that e-mail is from 2013, wouldn't any alleged wrongdoing fall outside of the limitation period and be time-barred?

They are simply saying Pearce was not a reliable witness ie lying. Time barring is irrelevant to the point.

The date doesn’t matter. They are using it to say Simon Pearce lied in his testimony. I liked this line 'Evans said the story now "appears to have been invented", but at the time "had just enough plausibility to be seductive".
Bit like UEFA's charges really.
