CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

I thought the 'fouls' he gave against Sterling etc were highly suss. He didn't give them any pens I suppose, but I can't think of much else he didn't favour them on.

Because of the crap referees in the premier league, they don't referee in the latter stages of the CL, or the World cup because they are shit, and because some of the disgraceful refereeing we have witnessed in the CL, my bar in judging them is very low. Danielle Orsata in the first leg and the Kraut yesterday are uefas most highly rated. We were not completely stitched up, as i thought would happen when the draw was announced, and many said on this forum. I would be happy with a similar level next week .
The premier league referees , give a foul if we touch an opponent and wave play on if one of our players gets flattened.

Imagine Moss, Mason, Oliver et al , at this stage. If Eufa were trying to stitch us up over those two legs, they failed like they did with the kangaroo court.

Yet he was the same ref who stitched up City in the 1st leg at Anfield in 2018.

None of the three liverpool goals were contentious. City had a goal disallowed for a very dubious offside, but the linesman gave that.
What were his actual stitch ups.

If you ever needed clear proof of club interference in a case that doesn't involve them, then read this.
I'll just highlight this bit. "We still have to do with Manchester City" what the fuck does that mean. Who is this "we".
Why is Bayern so involved with all this. I think it is about time that they are reported for bringing the game into disrepute. Surely there will be rules against this sort of sustained attack by one club to another?

Also "Hoeness says CAS’s decision was a severe blow to UEFA’s rules". No we were shown to have NOT broken any rules. So the rules had been obeyed etc. They just don't get it do they!
The cracks are showing for what all this really was. A witch hunt to get us banned by any means possible.

I’d love us the smash the bastards in the final and see his sour fucking face as we hold the trophy aloft

Salah was offisde for Liverpools 1st goal.

The dubious offside that you mention

Robertson took Sterling out in the box late on in the game. Not even a subjective one - 100% penalty. On the BT coverage they didn't show it during the game but they did in the post match coverage. Walton and the panel all agreed 100% penalty. In fact Gerrard even said there were 2 penalty offences - 1 for the original foul and then the ball went back onto Roberston's hand for handball.

As someone convicted and jailed for tax evasion in his own country, Hoeness should know all about financial irregularities.
Pompous, arrogant hypocritical tosser with zero self-awareness.

There was one occasion where a Real player knocked the ball past Cancelo and ran straight into him, I expected the ref to rule against Cancelo and was surprised when he waved play on. That was the only one I remember in our favour.

Having read what he said in German (I can't play the original interview video) I suspect the UK press are spinning it as critical of CAS, especially those outlets saying things like "Former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has criticized the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for overturning Manchester City's two-year Champions League ban."

He hasn't criticised CAS. it's criticism of UEFA for acting against us with "no substantive evidence". My translation: "If the CAS judges thought UEFA had acted badly there's no surprise at the outcome."

"Obviously UEFA's reasoning was just weak."

I can't see a basis in the original for "we must do with Manchester City" except for the possibility of meeting them in the semi-final.

Don't blame Hoeness. It's our press again.
