Having worked for American owners, they do seem to have a weird view on the world. Much like the UK did back in the 1860's. They don't seem to understand that you have to pay people decent wages in the UK. It is very much, what cash are you sending us this month, and how much can i leverage the business for, so I can pocket that as well.

It is the kind of comment that will attract plenty of headlines because it is, quite literally and very unapologetically, a lack of respect for another Premier League club.

Ah, but this is standard practice for the RDAHMeedya. The DT Final Whistle article on the back page of the sport section rattles on about how lucrative fourth place in the PL can be, and they illustrate with a graphic - a shot from a match where Peter Crouch scores in the last minutes of a game at The Etihad, all the way back to 2010. Why not a graphic from 2011 when Crouch scores in the same net but with a different result? Why not from last year or any other year from the last decade? No, we have to pick the one that sees MCFC on the losing end!

The bad blood with Arsenal goes back well before Guardiola’s arrival in England but he has been filled in on all the previous grievances, those which were stoked by Arsenal’s pursuit of Mikel Arteta in December.

Then it goes into a 500 word article explaining all of Citys problems with Arsenal from City's perspective.

Whatever you may think of City’s owners or how the club is run, it cannot be said that they have aired their grievances in public. They have listened to countless high-profile figures at clubs across Europe (there is a list) discussing or criticising their business in public since the 2008 takeover. Clearly, the likes of Liverpool, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and, you might assume, the entire Spanish top flight still believe City to be guilty.

City feel completely vindicated by their CAS win and while they do not appear to be in the “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” camp just yet, they certainly do not mind Guardiola airing a few grievances in the club’s name.​

Your problem is you think anything but unfettered propaganda for the club, the likes of which the Echo pump out for Liverpool, is anti-city.

Opening an article which is about how Pep went off tangent from a normal question to have a massive go at Arsenal by pointing out how Pep has a habit of going off on tangents is not an attack on City.

Why are Arsenal fans moaning about Pep’s comments? He said he has no issue with the manager or the players - just the people who run the club. Most Arsenal fans can’t stand their owner either so they should be on Pep’s side for fuck’s sake!
