Went to meeting regarding changes to catering in south stand on wed night Steve Sayer, Operations Director, and Neil Worcester, Head of Catering were in attendance and outlined there idea,s.
City have decided to test some new ideas in the area of the Stadium . The food and bar kiosk opposite blocks 107-112, between now and the end of the season, will be used to try out some improvements.

These include trying pre pour beer before the end first half and the option to buy pies at the bar, cutting down the range on pies to speed things up .
Intensive staff training to improve service at the bar and keeping the same staff and team leader on each test outlet .

Enhanced meal deals and improved quality food , Looking at changing all the fryers to automated uptodate ones to speed up service, also looking at new coffee dispensers . tills with touch screen pictures .
Cant build extra booths because council wont allow it without going down the planning route.
They are open to all idea,s to speed up and make everything better, discused cashless options and trying to get people to queue up like in mcdonalds instead of the free for all at the beer stand lol...some hope

Re: catering facilities in south stand

They could get Richard Keys and Andy Gray to serve the pies, that might speed things up

Re: catering facilities in south stand

if they want to speed things up in the ss should serve only large bottles like the ones at molyneux and sack the food off. the game is only 90mins, why cant people eat before the game or after. its not a picnic! should only do food in the 'family section' imo.

Nah, should do food everywhere in the ground.

Re: catering facilities in south stand

Prices were mentioned and city are not adding the vat increase , bottles are not allowed the council and police wont allow them ...we all know why.
A lady brought the issue of burnt pies with cold centre,s up..they said they are aware of the problems .
Another meeting at the Stadium in March after the new trial,s have been given ago, but they said they want people to tell them if they have seen an improvement or not as well, and ideas on how we can improve things.
