I'm sorry but you need to form an orderly queue, the end of the queue is that way --------------->

Any possibility that Mancini is in the queue?

A lot of things would have to come into play for it to happen but Cavani is certainly on speed dial.

Apparently this is the player that Mancini has craved for two seasons but Sheikh Mansour has refused to fund a deal for this player. He is merely a back-up plan for Robin Van Persie but I would be currently negotiating with Napoli alongside Arsenal aswell as time is of the essence.

I think he would play the way that Roberto craves Edin to do and perhaps he is more mobile in doing so. The movement of Cavani is superior as he seems more naturally able to get into dangerous positions despite Edin's goal against QPR the other day.

I'm not sure whether he would adapt to the premier league given that he has spent time playing in Italy for a while and it may take him a while to adapt to the physical nature and pace of the premier league. He may require patience initially but I believe he would become a good purchase, maybe even superior to Van Persie in terms of investment in playing staff given the difference in ages.

Would you be happy if he signed for us? He had no problem scoring against us in the Champions League which only went further to highlight his ability to Roberto.

Yawn - anything else we can talk about?

Manchester City are hoping to finalise a move to sign Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.

Cavani, 25, is rated one of the best strikers in Europe and has been earning rave reviews in Serie A.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is looking to bolster his forward line as uncertainty surrounds the future of Edin Dzeko.

Reports in Italian newspaper Il Mattino claim Manchester City have already made an offer to Napoli and want to open talks with the Uruguay international.

The Premier League champions are prepared to offer him a lucrative five-year deal.

Cavani is also attracting interest from Juventus, but he could be tempted to make a move to England and play in the Champions League next season.

News jolts the dreams of Napoli fans: not only the chairman of Manchester City, Sheikh Mansour wants Cavani, something universally known for some time, but in recent days seems to have given Roberto Mancini, on vacation in Italy, the precise mission to convince the sample to move in July in the English city. To persuade the talented Uruguayan, the City is not at the expense baderebbe: offered him a five-year contract for more than 6 million and is ready to put on the plate at least 40 million euros in Naples, which Cavani is bound by an agreement to , 2016.

Please let this happen.

Cavani is an outstanding striker. Possibly even better than RVP, but unless its Ronaldo or Messi I wouldn't disrupt our current 4.

Now that Tevez is looking very likely to stay, I reckon any City striker bids will be shelved.

Danamy...you have said that rvp was the closest deal we could secure and that cavani was a long way off...do you think that now mancini has switched and believes he has got this man....i do remember in the winter i think it was when we met his reps just after we played napoli didnt we...

I think Dzekos gone Marv. It doesn't please me but he won't be here next season IMO.

I've heard nothing but positives with regards RVP from a number of people but if you look back at my posts i've also been told Cavani is also a real possibility aswell.

I was told at the end of the season that Cavani could well be a gift to Mancini from the Sheikh for winning the Title, players get bonuses and managers get players, so to speak.

Cavani knows that Mancini wants him, this could mean he wants to talk?
