CC SF 1st and 2nd leg ticket info and prices..updated page 3

jesus when we were shit people craved for success, now we are doing well people moan coz they have to shell out to watch more games, i think the club have been pretty fair with the general pricing structure.
this is a cup semi final against Liverpool !! bit naive to think we would be charged less than £30... i'll be there

I think people are unfair getting on City's prices for this. I don't think they had much choice.

Cup ticket prices have to be agreed by both clubs, as both clubs get an equal share of gate receipts from the games, so City may well have had to settle at a much higher price than they wanted to. The FL in this case will also want their share to be as high as possible.

I suspect the lack of news about the FA Cup is for a similar reason, I imagine United are very unhappy about our pricing structure, because it reduces their revenue from the game. I expect that the price will end up NOT being £15 as City originally announced, because united want higher revenue, and that some compromise will have to be made for those on the FA Cup scheme. Hope not.

The lack of news about tickets and prices for the FA Cup is due to the fact united want 7100 tickets and city are saying no and liasing with police. Until the allocation can be agreed then no tickets or prices will be released.

Bluemoan in full swing again i see, its a bloody semi and dippers price more in a lot of their ground, stop bloody moaning or shall we go back to the 3rd tier of football again!!!!!!!

I don't think people mean to moan. It's just the time of year when money is tight with everything else that goes on at this time of year. We've had the expense of playing weekend/midweek virtually all season. Then the expense of at least three additional cup games in the poverty month of January. All these people desperately want to be at all of these games and it hurts them like hell that they may have to miss one or more as they don't physically have the money (we don't an affluent fan base). The hope of capping the prices of these games has been diminished and with that these people have effectively been priced out of going. I know I have with regards to the Liverpool away tie.

That's why i have asked for cash instead of presents from all my family at Xmas - Only way i can afford to go to all the games home and away

Why?

What were you expecting?

It was more expensive 2 years ago at the same stage.

Some people just love a good old winge
Was it? Case closed then
I believe it was yeah (but if I'm wrong I apologise)

Yeah it was £40.00 against United last time and is costing me £37.50 this time.

Its an accumulation thing really as we weren't getting charged £30 on average for the Euro games though.

If they did get 7,100 would it be 111 or 119 they shift I wonder?

The allocation should not have much effect on the price unless they charge more for more police.

Very much doubt many people are going to be signing up to the Carling Cup scheme next season.

neither I nor the wife will be after this

I'd at least thought they'd have given Cup Scheme Members a discount of say £5 a ticket?
I think a lot will join for the extra loyalty points but cancel if we get drawn at home.

You lose the points the 1st time you don't buy a home ticket

Some people make me laugh.

What do yo expect to pay for a carling cup semi final????? im waiting for some one to mention the hamburg prices from 3 seasons ago.... ha

dont want to here the responsibilities arguement, i have a house, kid, car and xmas. i understand some people just cant afford it and thats fine but dont have a go at city for pricing you out.

we've waited years to get to where we are now and some people still find something to complain about. rant over!! lol

Couldn't have put it better myself!! Yeah it's expensive and some of us including myself cannot afford it at this time, but pricing the fans out?? Give me a break!!

We are still a business when it comes down to it and in order to improve revenue for FFP I can see prices rising again in the near future. But look at what we are getting for our money these days!!!

As I said earlier in this thread, I feel the prices are reasonable enough considering it's a semi-final and given that up until a couple of years ago we'd not been in a semi-final of any competition for 29 years our fans should really be up for these types of games. I think what is clouding the judgement of some is the fact that the CC semi-final comes at a time of the season when people are generally more out of pocket than at any other time of the year. Add in the fact that it's 2-legged meaning a double-hit for those of us that will be doing the away leg as well, and add in that we have a plum 3rd round home FA Cup tie thrown into the mix which will further drain the finances, and it makes for a very expensive month of football.

However, that's the price of success - having a better team means we will progress far further in the cup competitions compared to when we were a mediocre side, meaning in turn there are far more games to fork out for. The club have done some great deals for fans regarding plenty of cup games in the past few years and I'm sure they will continue to do so but expecting the semi-final of a cup competition to be priced similarly to a game in one of the earlier rounds is going a bit too far IMO.

Seasoncard holders on the Carling Cup scheme are being rewarded for putting their money up front and paying for 19 matches with no guarantee of success by the end.
