Bluemoan in full swing again i see, its a bloody semi and dippers price more in a lot of their ground, stop bloody moaning or shall we go back to the 3rd tier of football again!!!!!!!

I don't think people mean to moan. It's just the time of year when money is tight with everything else that goes on at this time of year. We've had the expense of playing weekend/midweek virtually all season. Then the expense of at least three additional cup games in the poverty month of January. All these people desperately want to be at all of these games and it hurts them like hell that they may have to miss one or more as they don't physically have the money (we don't an affluent fan base). The hope of capping the prices of these games has been diminished and with that these people have effectively been priced out of going. I know I have with regards to the Liverpool away tie.

Your argument is very valid yet there will always be some who earn good money or have no commitments who dont give a shit about whether others cant afford it. These are then the same people who then moan that it didnt sell out.

We have so many day trippers nowadays that it will probably sell out anyway regardless of whether some regulars choose not to go.

Clubs will only wake up when people stop going. Whelan woke up to it when he tried to charge us £40 and only 1800 turned up instead of the usual 5000.

£30 would be fair in my opinion and fcking 16 year olds are still kids in my opinion and should not have to pay £25 as its me who has to foot the bill!

At most clubs they'd be paying full price.

well that doesn't make it right does it?

I hoped our club would lead the way when it came to affordable ticket pricing seeing as they don't need the money and gate receipts are just a tiny fraction of income for FFP

but alas it seems we are heading the same way as everyone else and pricing the the average family out of live football

I’m going to look at it as £52.50 for City v United and City v Liverpool, then it doesn’t seem as bad. I doubt I’ll be joining the Carling Cup scheme next season though.

Very much doubt many people are going to be signing up to the Carling Cup scheme next season.

neither I nor the wife will be after this

I'd at least thought they'd have given Cup Scheme Members a discount of say £5 a ticket?

I think a lot will join for the extra loyalty points but cancel if we get drawn at home.

Well it's people choice if they wish to go. Maybe all those "not wasting their money on a non first 11" will give others a chance to see City in the flesh.

Once in the cup scheme you expect the club to be reasonable.

This will lose a few members as it did in 2004 with Arsenal at home.

Yep I'm out of all the cup schemes next season, and out of platinum. Might even bin the season card if prices jump too much. :(

they will if points are awarded for doing so.

on the pricing policy i was saying this morning that football (its not just city) is getting out of hand, it actually flashed through my mind to watch a few cup games on tv, now looking at these prices its bloody worse.it will cost me 360 quid for the two cup comps, 360 quid!!! thats a euro trip money that is. when you add the xmas/new year games it becomes a little silly. i hate watching it on tv but just where do you stop? i suppose you stop when there is a change in your circumstances, i feel so sorry for younger blues with young families who just want to watch city play and are stopped in thier tracks, be it by city, the greedy players or bloody platini and his ffp.
